Windows 7 Release Party!...Continued

Well... The release party was SWEET! Fancy venue (see it here: http://www.greenvalleyranchresort.com/entertainment/the-pond.php ). There was an open bar, food, flat screen monitors everywhere with reps demoing the various features and inprovements with Windows 7. They also had some demos for the new SharePoint and the 2010 series of products.

All of that LOOKED really nice from a far, but my coworkers and I never really made it past the open bar. Did I mention there was an open bar? So, we had "our share" of the various refreshments and ended up sitting on a couch talking to a rep from a major communications company and the next thing we knew it was over. So we wobbled our way over to Fat Burger, pounded some cheese burgers and drove home.

In hindsight I REALLY wish I would have made it around to the demo stations and talked with more people. I'm not entirely convinced it would have been all fluff. I probably would have gotten some really good information. Oh well, I got a Microsoft Windows 7 bottle opener out of the deal.
